Why do we recommend eating lean meat?
With abundant fat, energy, and saturated fatty acid, fat meat can increase triglycerides and “bad” cholesterol, reduce good cholesterol, and heighten the risk of obesity, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular diseases. It’s advised to keep the energy provided by saturated fatty acid within 10% of the total energy.
How should we choose lean meat?
Chicken breast, loin pork, beef, horse meat, and rabbit meat are all lean meat. You can peel off the poultry skin, and remove the white or yellow fat.
What if I get very hungry?
You can eat braised pork with brown sauce or ribs, but not too much. Just two pieces would do!
